Play the traditional Aussie game as played in World War 1 trenches and 'gambling schools' before casinos were introduced in Australia.
A Brief Outline of the 2Up Game
2Up is a traditional gambling game that is true-blue Australian. Playing the game does not require great skill and is therefore simple to master and is exciting to play.
A designated player called The Spinner throws two coins into the air. Players gamble on whether both coins land with both heads up, both tails up, or with one coin a head and one a tail (known as Odds).
The basic format of the game is that ...
Two heads means The Spinner wins
Two tails means The Spinner loses
Odds means The Spinner throws again
The Spinner is required to place a bet before the first throw. The bet must be matched by another player. As the Spinner they can hold (keep) the bet or it can be held by the other player who covered the bet.
The Boxer manages the game and the betting, and does not participate in the betting, but takes a commission out of the bet. The other members of the group place side bets (bets against each other) on whether The Spinner will win or lose and the result of the next throw.
You must be over 18 years of age to bet. 2Up.com supports responsible gambling.
